Forgive us! These docs are a work in progress. Some pages may be incomplete or describe features that aren't quite finished yet. Farkitect is in early development and we don't recommend using it for real work just yet. Feel free to explore — just be aware that things are still being built.

How to publish an asset

Publishing controls who can see and use one of your assets. You set it on the asset’s Publishing tab on the website dashboard.

  1. On the dashboard, open Assets and click the asset you want to share
  2. Go to the Publishing tab
  3. Choose a scope:
ScopeWho can see it
PersonalOnly you. The default for a new asset.
OrganisationYou and the members of your organisation.
PublicEveryone — the asset appears in the Farketplace.

The change takes effect immediately.

On the same tab you can mark a published asset as Featured. Featured assets are highlighted in the Farketplace — for example, in the home-page carousel.

Public assets show a cover image on their Farketplace card and detail page. If you don’t supply one, Farkitect generates a distinctive placeholder so every asset still reads as a card.

  • Organisation assets appear in the asset lists of your fellow organisation members, who can create projects from them.
  • Public assets appear in the Farketplace for anyone to browse, download, or create a project from — no sign-in required to browse.

To stop sharing, change the scope back to Personal at any time.
