How to create and manage projects

Create a project

Rename a project

Section titled “Rename a project”
  1. Open the project settings or use the project management area
  2. Edit the project name
  3. Changes are saved immediately

Set a default project

Section titled “Set a default project”

The default project opens automatically when you launch the web app. If you have multiple projects, you can designate which one opens first through the project settings.

Delete a project

Section titled “Delete a project”
  1. Navigate to the project settings
  2. Click Delete Project
  3. Confirm the deletion

Safety: Before deletion, Farkitect automatically exports the project as a .farki file. This gives you a backup in case the deletion was accidental. The export is downloaded to your browser.

Notes

Section titled “Notes”
  • Only project Admins can delete a project
  • Deleting a project removes all its packages, elements, diagrams, and catalogs permanently (after the automatic export)
  • The project’s members are not removed from the organisation — they retain access to other projects
