Forgive us! These docs are a work in progress. Some pages may be incomplete or describe features that aren't quite finished yet. Farkitect is in early development and we don't recommend using it for real work just yet. Feel free to explore — just be aware that things are still being built.

How to manage your assets

An asset is a reusable .farki file — a whole project or an individual package — that you can import into any model or share with others. Your assets are personal to you and available across all the organisations you belong to. You manage them from the Assets page on the website dashboard.

  1. On the dashboard, open Assets and click New Asset
  2. Choose a .farki file to upload
  3. The title, description, and metadata are extracted from the file automatically

You can edit everything after upload. To turn an existing project into an asset, export it as a .farki file first, then upload it here.

The Assets list works like the Projects list — card or table views, search, and filters:

  • Type — Project or Package
  • Scope — Personal, Organisation, or Public

Each asset shows its cover image, type and scope badges, and counts of packages and elements.

Click an asset to open its detail page, which has tabs for:

  • Contents — the packages and elements it contains
  • Publishing — its scope and Farketplace settings (see Publish an asset)
  • Danger Zone — replace the file or delete the asset

From an asset’s detail page you can:

  • Download the .farki file
  • Create a project from it
  • Replace file — upload a new .farki to update the asset in place, keeping the same asset record and its publishing settings

In the asset’s Danger Zone, click Delete. You’ll be asked to type a confirmation. Deleting an asset removes the asset and its uploaded file — projects already created from it are unaffected.
