How to configure personal settings
Your personal settings live in two places: your account is managed on the website, and a few display options are in the modeller’s View menu.
Account settings (website)
Section titled “Account settings (website)”Open the dashboard at farkitect.com and go to User Settings (the link at the bottom of the sidebar, or your avatar menu). From there you can manage:
Profile
Section titled “Profile”- Avatar — upload or remove your picture
- Name — your first and last name
- Email — change your email address (a confirmation step protects the change)
Organisations
Section titled “Organisations”The Organisations tab lists every organisation you belong to, with your role and membership type in each. From here you can switch to an organisation or leave one. See Configure organisation settings.
Preferences
Section titled “Preferences”- Locale — controls how dates and times are formatted throughout the app (for example
en-GBshows 30/06/2026,en-USshows 06/30/2026) - Theme — light or dark
- Notifications — which emails you receive
Danger zone
Section titled “Danger zone”- Export all projects — download every project you own as a single
.zipof.farkifiles - Delete account — permanently remove your profile and personal organisation. A full backup is exported automatically before anything is deleted, and you’ll be asked to type a confirmation first.
Settings in the modeller
Section titled “Settings in the modeller”Inside the modeller, choose View > Settings… (Ctrl+, / Cmd+,), or click the gear at the right-hand end of the menu bar in the web app. Changes apply as you make them.
- Theme — Light, Dark, or System, which follows your computer. Ctrl+Shift+D / Cmd+Shift+D switches between light and dark at any time. The choice is saved on the device you are using.
- Panel tabs — Regular or Narrow. Narrow makes the tab bar at the top of every panel shorter, which gives the panels more room on a small screen. It applies at once, and the choice is saved on the device you are using.
- Reset layout — put every panel back in its default place for the project.
- Refresh automatically — reload metamodels as soon as one changes. It is on by default and saved to your account. Leave it on unless you have a reason not to: while it is off, your models keep using the old version of a changed metamodel until you click Refresh metamodels. A warning in the dialog and an Auto-refresh off marker in the status bar stay visible for as long as it is off.

To show or hide the status bar, use View > Status Bar.
